Everything but the Bagel Seasoning

WoWwwW… Truly cannot believe that I didn’t think to make this before.

I, like all of the other foodies out there, have been obsessed with Trader Joe’s Everything but the Bagel seasoning. My BFF, Heather, sent me some in a care package and it’s been an amazing addition to my ever-growing spice cabinet.

But I’ve run out.

And I’m cheap.

So here we are.

I love bagels. Every time Mr. Bou and I are in Dillon snowboarding (yes, I’m cool and a beginner boarder now) we go to a small bakery that has AMAZE bagel sandwiches. Our CO native friends showed us this spot and it’s my new favorite breakfast place!

It’s Blue Moon Bakery if you’re ever in town! Staff is great and food is quick, hot, and delicious! (My order is the egg bagel sandwich on Asiago with sausage and cheese)

Buttttt, I only can justify a huge bagel sandwich when I know I’ll be squatting and falling and squatting some more for 8 hours. Every other day, this seasoning does the trick.

It’s easy to combine, makes so much, and you won’t have to spend $5 a month. The ingredients cost $7 max and you’ll have A YEARS SUPPLY.

Yes, I needed caps. Let’s save some mooolah!

Now here are some of my favorite ways to enjoy it:

  • Fried Egg
  • Fried Egg with Grits and Pepper jack Cheese (aka Kait’s favorite breakfast)
  • Party Piggies
  • Roasted Sweet Potatoes
  • Avocado Toast
  • A boring salad
  • Grilled Cheese
  • Pizza – yes, do it

Have fun and sprinkle away!

Everything Bagel Seasoning

  • 2 tablespoons Sesame Seeds
  • 2 tablespoons Poppy Seeds
  • 1.5 tablespoons Garlic Flakes
  • 1.5 tablespoons Onion Flakes
  • 1 tablespoon Coarse Sea Salt
  1. Combine ingredients and keep in a dry pantry, completely sealed for up to 2 months.
